Releasing the guidelines for conducting a gram sabha, principal secretary of panchayati raj department, L Khiangte, said, “As part of the module, a two hour-long gram sabha of grassroots level functionaries of ICDS, health, education and drinking water and sanitation will be held till October. The agenda of the sabha will be impact of malnutrition; status of malnutrition and anaemia in the respective gram panchayat; interventions to reduce malnutrition; and open discussion.” He added that each gram panchayat would develop an action plan to bring down the number of undernourished children and anaemic women.
